International Youth Motivational Speaker and Teen Life Coach Jeff Yalden truly cares about sharing his message with young people and inspiring them.  In fact, he cares so much that he is willing to go to extraordinary lengths to be with them.  Last weekend, a monster storm rocked the Northeast and headquarters of Jeff Yalden International, as three feet of snow pummeled to the ground.  However, this did not stop Jeff from being with the students of Herrin High School.

On Sunday, February 10, Jeff boarded a plane to Illinois.  The next day, he was to speak at Herrin High School.  He had to reschedule his visit there to Monday because he was planning to speak at the Maury Show Wednesday and Thursday (though they changed the schedule at the last minute, and he will not be speaking on the show this week).

At home, Cape Cod was being shaken by the wrath of Nemo, which left Jeff and crew without electricity, heat, and hot water.  In addition, Jeff was suffering from the flu and had a terrible back ache.  However, none of this stopped him from being with the students of Herrin High School.  He described it as a tough morning, but was glad that he had the chance to be with the students there and stated that it turned out to be a “great program.”

Jeff was brought to Herrin High School by their guidance counselor, Tracy Cornelius, whom Jeff describes as a “super awesome lady.”  That morning, Jeff spoke to around 700 students.  The program took place in what he describes as “one of the most beautiful gymnasiums [he has] ever seen.”  Both he and the students had a great time during the program.  His presentation ended with a standing ovation.  This touched Jeff greatly, and he responded by saying, “It makes you feel like you connected with them.”

Youth Motivational Speaker Jeff Yalden connects with teens in way that other speakers cannot.  He goes to far lengths to ensure that all of his programs are life-changing and inspiring, even if he is sick and in pain without power.  Visit to bring his message to your school, which will stick with the students forever.

Thank you for coming and speaking at our high school today. I know many of my students said you were the best speaker we’ve had. I agree. Your message was great and so true.

Thank you so much for coming to Herrin High School today even though you were having back problems and just got over the flu! You did an excellent job relating to people our age and keeping everyone’s attention. I didn’t hear one negative thing about it! You spoke to us not at us and you made it seem like you were the same as us, unlike other adults. Your message seemed to get through to everyone and it really made a lot of people think about things they say and do on a daily basis. Thank you again!

Author:Brandon Schmuck, Teen Blogger for Youth Speaker, Jeff Yalden

“I want to put a ding in the universe.” Brandon Schmuck is a senior class president at Rockwood Area High School. He is an ambitious teen with a dream: to change the world. He plans on majoring in electrical and computer engineering and gaining a background in speaking, writing, business, and the arts. He dreams of becoming an influential business leader and changing the lives of millions through his words and products. He is inspired by his parents and his two younger sisters to be all that he can. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar as part of his high school’s jazz band and hitting up the greens during the summer. He loves to write and express his opinion and is an active member of student congress, speech, and Future Business Leaders of America. Online, he has an active presence as a teen blogger for youth motivational speaker, Jeff Yalden, and operates his own personal blog. He enjoys having an impact on those around him and is a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, SADD, and Spanish Honor Society, where he helps at local food drives and school events. Brandon was first inspired by Jeff’s words at Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week, where he heard him as a guest speaker. After hearing him, he knew that he had to bring him to his area. Despite the small size of his school, Brandon managed to gather the funding to bring him, while arranging for a neighboring school to come hear him also. Jeff’s words had an enormous impact on his school; students there were inspired to live their lives to the fullest and make the right decisions. Every day as he walks through the halls, he sees the impact that Jeff’s visit had on the students, as many of them continue to carry his messages with them by wearing his t-shirts. Prior to Jeff’s visit, Brandon published an article on his personal blog and his school’s website, describing what he had heard during Jeff’s speech at PFEW and how he managed to raise the funding for his visit. After reading it, Jeff hired Brandon as a teen blogger. Brandon admires the impact that Jeff has on others and hopes to someday carry the same impact himself.
